Wade’s, Ryan’s, & Caitlin’s Guide to Tokyo DisneySea
Opened on September 4, 2001, Tokyo DisneySea was the ninth Disney theme park & is the fourth-most-attended theme park in the world.
The dedication delivered by Michael Eisner at the park’s opening runs thus:
“Welcome one and all to a world where Imagination and Adventure set sail. Tokyo DisneySea is dedicated to the spirit of exploration
that lives in each of us. Here we chart a course for Adventure, Romance, Discovery and Fun and journey to exotic and fanciful Ports of Call. May Tokyo DisneySea
inspire the hearts and minds of all of us who share the water planet, Earth.”
Tokyo DisneySea is reputedly the most expensive theme park in the world, & this is easy to believe. With its immense scope, large-scale rides & attractions, &
intricately detailed theming, Tokyo DisneySea is an awe-inspiring wonder to experience.
Mediterranean Harbor
American Waterfront
Port Discovery
Lost River Delta
Arabian Coast
Mermaid Lagoon
Mysterious Island
Mediterranean Harbor
The single thing Tokyo DisneySea lacks is an entrance sign, & I cannot help but wonder if people inadvertantly end up in this park & wonder where they are.
American Waterfront
Tower of Terror
Port Discovery
StormRider
Lost River Delta
Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull (not to be confused with the fourth film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull)
Raging Spirits
Arabian Coast
Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage
Mermaid Lagoon
Mysterious Island
Containing Mount Prometheus, the park’s central icon, named after a Jules Verne novel, & featuring two attractions based on two more of Verne’s novels,
Mysterious Island is the heart of Tokyo DisneySea—literally & figuratively.
Journey to the Center of the Earth (actually housed within Mount Prometheus) & 20,000 Leagues under the Sea—very similar to the old Magic Kingdom
ride but completely indoors.
You have completed your clockwise circuit through each land of Tokyo DisneySea!
